For Resort 2018, Gucci showed gowns with crystals, pearls or bows worn with elaborate hand bracelets. Lapels on men’s brocade suits pinned with three dimensional brooches of faces. There’s also new ways of writing the House name—Guccy, Guccify and Guccification—found by Alessandro Michele through tags on Instagram, appearing on ready-to-wear and bags. Accessories crafted in retro shapes featured GG and butterfly hardware, and gold laurel crowns—evoking the goddesses of old Hollywood—circled the models heads.
